This sweet 12 yr old girl has found her way into rescue after her owner sadly passed away. There was no next of kin to take her so now she is with us.
Missy is a gorgeous girl who would love a home of her own. So far she has taken no notice of any other dogs out and about, and the kennels where she spent a few days before coming to us said she walked well with other dogs but she needs to be the ONLY dog in the house.
Missy does not seem to know much about toys (she is worried by squeaky ones), she is happy to play if you instigate it but she would rather just cuddle up. She will leave a toy if asked to (if there is a food reward!) Her eyes are a little filmy due to age, so her aim is not great if you wave a toy - better a tug toy than a small one! Due to this and the fact she does no like to share her food we would say her perfect home would be someone who is around most of the time (to reassure her after her bereavement) and with no children younger than teenage, simply because however dog savvy your children may be they may have visiting friends who are not who would want to play with her.
We are looking for a foster home for Missy as well as a forever one, as the lady who stepped in to help get her out of kennels was only able to help for a few weeks.
If you are interested in adopting Missy please contact us . Homecheck and a donation apply.
